Chestnut Biscuits

Fresh shelled chestnuts are the base for these absolutely delicious biscuits. 

You will need:

Lamb Brand Plain Flour 100g 

Lamb Brand Brown Sugar 100g

Peeled Chestnuts 300g, soaked overnight

Butter 100g

Egg Yolks 2

Egg White 1

 

 

All you have to do:

1. Drain the chestnuts and process in a blender until you achieve a fine consistency.

2. Add the butter, sugar, flour and egg yolks. Knead to form a ball of dough.

3. Shape pieces of dough into fingers.

4. Brush them with egg white and cook in the oven at a temperature of 180°C, for about 20 minutes or till they become golden.
