Chocolate Fruit and Nut Christmas Wreaths

This Fruit and Nut Christmas Wreath is a beautiful candy showpiece for Candied fruit and many different types of nuts adorn this crispy chocolate wreath.

All you need is:

Lamb Brand Walnuts 40g, roughly chopped

Lamb Brand Whole Almonds 40g

Lamb Brand Brown Sugar 35g

Icam Dark Chocolate 150g, chopped

Morning Coffee Biscuits 150g, crushed

Unsalted Butter 120g

Brandy 2 tbsp

Cocoa Powder 1 tbsp

You will also need extra melted chocolate, dried fruits and nuts to decorate

All you have to do is:

1. In a medium sized saucepan, melt together the chocolate, butter, soft brown sugar and cocoa powder.

2. When ready, remove the pan off the heat and mix in the walnuts, almonds, crushed biscuits and brandy.

3. When the mixture has come together, turn it onto a large sheet of double greaseproof paper.

4. Form the mixture into a sausage shape, and roll up into a ring twisting the two ends to tighten up.

5. Place onto a plate and chill for an hour in the fridge till firm.

6. When ready, remove from the fridge and brush completely all over with melted chocolate.

7. Allow to set, then brush liberally again.

8. Whilst still soft, decorate the top of the ring with a selection of dried fruits and nuts.

9. Allow to set completely before serving dusted lightly with icing sugar.
